My name is Doc and, like you, I’m a musician. I repair guitars because I’m good at it as well as fast.
I specialize in setups, fretting, and repairs. I have built customs from scratch as well, but building is not my main focus. Setups, fretting, and repairs are.
If you would like your guitar to go from being a “good” playing guitar to a “great” playing guitar, a setup is usually required. This is what I like to do. Everyone has different needs from a setup so, yes, you can have it done to work with your style or taste.
Recently, we have been working with True Temperament (based in Stockholm Sweden) in order to expand their fretting systems availability to the U.S.A. This system improves overall intonation of the guitar and has a profound effect on how chords sound. We have installed their Thidell Formula 1 system on several guitars (Fenders and Gibsons) and have some available for you to play. Believe me when I say it makes a big difference!
